Mission Statement

The Seijinkan Dojo was founded in January of 1989. We are a traditional school dedicated to the constant pursuit of the perfection of character. We strive to pass on our system of Goju Ryu Karate as mandated by Grandmaster Peter Urban, Father of all American Goju Ryu Systems. We do this without the self-glorification of any single individual; the style is our reward. We pride ourselves in discipline, honor, hard work, and confident humility. We believe that nothing is free, and greatness can only be achieved through strict dedication. We believe that our true enemy is ourselves. As instructors, we give nothing that is not earned. Knowledge is what we value, not the color of our belt. This is why we have no contracts or gimmicks that are used by most modern day commercial schools. Our system is diverse and easily learned by men, women, and children regardless of age or physical ability. Our goal is self-improvement in all aspects of life making our practices beneficial to all.
